Al-Taj News – The Cabinet decided to approve the National Export Strategy 2026–2029, which aims to move Jordanian exports to a new stage based on expanding the range of products and markets, increasing the number of exporting companies, and raising the competitiveness of Jordanian products and services in foreign markets, with the aim of achieving sustainable export growth at a rate of 5% annually and enhancing their contribution to growth and employment opportunities.
The new strategy builds on an export base that Jordan has achieved over the past years, as Jordanian exports have continued to grow during the recent period. The value of national exports reached approximately 9.6 billion dinars in 2025, and Jordanian products reached around 150 countries, while the new phase aims to expand this presence, increase the local added value of exports, and open new opportunities for Jordanian companies.
The strategy does not focus only on increasing the value of exports, but on making them more diversified and sustainable by reducing reliance on a limited number of products and markets, increasing the number of companies entering the export sector, diversifying the product basket, and expanding into new and non-traditional markets.
The strategy sets clear targets for productive sectors, including increasing manufacturing exports from 4.7 billion dinars to 7.9 billion dinars by 2029, in addition to increasing services exports and raising the competitiveness of Jordanian products through quality and innovation and improving access to markets.
